Middleton Cheney designer Jo-Ann Hall has a sensational new collection that reflects the current trends for a sophisticated look with a hint of glamour.

Strapless, classic cut gowns are finished with touches of diamante and crystal while flattering bodices teamed with varying skirt styles continue in popularity.
However with the advent of more relaxed marriage licensing laws allowing ceremonies to take place outside, Jo-Ann predicts a return to styles incorporating sheer floaty sleeves and slightly more whimsical features.

Adult bridesmaids are chic and elegant with a myriad of colours to choose from, although deeper shades particularly clarets and strong champagnes still prevail. Younger girls prefer the fairy princess look either in ivory with colour trimmings or sparkling gold.

Jo-Ann commented ‘I still find that brides follow tradition when it comes to their wedding gown, particularly if they have chosen a conventional ceremony. The extension of civil ceremonies is very exciting in that I think there will be scope for brides to widen their design ideas. Basically I am supplying a girl with her fantasy – a dream dress to be worn on one day only, remote from real and everyday fashion.

‘With regard to the collection I offer in my showroom, I am one of the few designers who works ‘hands on’ by doing all my own fittings – pretty unusual in an industry that is mostly off-the-peg with at best an alteration service. I believe every bride deserves a made-to-measure dress once in her lifetime’.
The showroom is situated in Middleton Cheney and the collection is prices from £700 - £1200. However, for the bride who is unable to find that special gown, Jo-Ann offers an

haute couture service working on an individual basis from concept through to production.
